Mount Kelly Foundation Hong Kong
The school has developed three new campuses in Kowloon, with two Preparatory Schools at Austin Tower and Hung Hom Bay respectively, as well as an International Preschool and Playgroup in Tsim Sha Tsui. Additionally, there will be a large new purpose-built campus planned for the New Territories planned to open in September 2018. We prepare pupils for the British Common Entrance, the principle set of examinations accepted by top UK independent schools, such as Eton or Charterhouse.
The Mount Kelly Foundation (HK) has a fundamental purpose to offer subsidies and scholarships to underprivileged children throughout Hong Kong.
Unprecedentedly, these scholarships are applicable to all International Schools established in Hong Kong, which is a genuine and inclusive commitment to Hong Kong families. This is a truly unique and distinctive initiative in the international Education community.
The governance structure of the Mount Kelly Foundation (HK), comprises two governors from Mount Kelly School United Kingdom, three governors from Mount Kelly School Hong Kong and one governor from a representative elected by the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) in Mount Kelly School Hong Kong. The Board will be chaired by a member of the Mount Kelly International Board in Hong Kong. One Board Member is designated to focus on safeguarding, equipped with a clear job description for the task.
The Governors provide oversight and supportive advice to the Head Master and Senior Management Team, so that Mount Kelly School Hong Kong provides an excellent education in accordance with its aims. The Board will share a clear vision for the school to be of the highest quality for all its pupils and for the school to serve Hong Kong community with distinction.
The structure provides a comprehensive framework to enhance accountability and maintain high standards of ethics and integrity, which helps reinforce Mount Kelly School Hong Kong’s position as a reputable academic establishment.
