Message from Executive Director & Governor
Welcome to Mount Kelly School Hong Kong, a brand new school in Hong Kong offering a curriculum wholly modelled on the British Independent School Pre-preparatory and Preparatory structure. We received from the Education Bureau Provisional Registration Certificate for the International Preschool on 1st September 2017 and for the Preparatory School on 15th January 2018. Our schools are located in convenient central sites in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon.
The Austine Place site houses the International Preschool for pupils aged 3-5 years old, a centre for Babies & Toddlers aged 6-months to 36-months, as well as an Adventure Play Centre for children under 6. The Austin Tower site houses the Preparatory School for pupils aged 5-13 (Year 1-8) with access to excellent nearby sport facilities.
Mount Kelly School Hong Kong builds upon the history and tradition of its UK sister school, the 140-year old Mount Kelly School UK in Tavistock, Devon, England. We closely follow the British National Curriculum with a flavour of South-East Asia built into lessons. Pupils after graduation may proceed to continue with their studies in Mount Kelly School UK. The School prides itself on its excellent teaching staff mostly expatriate from the UK and the pastoral care they give to our pupils. Besides catering to individual needs and teaching in small groups making interactive learning possible, the school offers something different in its Shackleton programme for learning life skills through outdoor activities and leadership training.
Mount Kelly School Hong Kong continues to seek expansion of its facilities both at Austin Tower and elsewhere at Hung Hom Bay, Kowloon to enhance provision of learning opportunities including sports.
We hope we would be able to cater to the needs of individual pupils and develop their potential to the full.
